James Vogel was commissioned by Dave Shor to build this enormous Horned god for the annual Horned Ball.  James had four days to sculpt and paint this.  What an undertaking!

The ninth edition of Kostume Kult’s annual Horned Ball, subtitled Return to Skull Island, took place on Saturday, April 13, at 3LD Art & Technology Center. And like all Horned Balls, the party was an apeshit affair (sorry—the name references King Kong’ home), with all manner of freakery taking control the dance floor. To paraphrase Charles Grodin in the 1976 film version of the giant-monkey tale, “Ah, the power of it! Ah, the superpower! Hail to the power! Hail to the power of the Horned Ball!”
